Head Hunter by Jeff Lewonczyk
Head Hunter: Molly Jones, a new transplant to the city, is given a job as secretary by the enigmatic Ms. Bogart, whose previous secretary just died. The situation is further complicated by the arrival of Jay McCall, a high school acquaintance of Molly's who Ms. Bogart has predatory designs upon. After a darkly comic game of cat and mouse, the pliant Molly must choose which of these charismatic figures to save from a bad fate.
Since graduating from Bard College in 1998, Jeff Lewonczyk has been writing, directing, producing and performing in shows as co-Artistic Director of Piper McKenzie. Additionally, he's been Associate Director of Brooklyn's Brick Theater since 2004. Some of his recent projects have included Lady Cryptozoologist, a five-part comedy-adventure serial at the Vampire Cowboys' Battle Ranch; Babylon Babylon, a 31-actor historical extravaganza at The Brick; and The Granduncle Quadrilogy, an alternate-reality holiday play, also at The Brick. |
