Freezing Rain by Midnight: A young working class couple in Northeastern Massachusetts prepare for a child, after three miscarriages. Meanwhile, the husband's troubled assistant keeps showing up on their doorstep in the middle of the night, and the wife's estranged, bohemian sister is squatting in the spare bedroom until she sells more of her handmade jewelry. The play illustrates the struggle facing blue-collar Americans when economic opportunities challenge traditional mores and ideas of family and duty.

Jesse Soursourian started out as an actor, in professional and semi-professional theater throughout the Boston and New England area. His work for the stage has won him critical praise as well as a nomination for Best Actor by the Independent Reviewers of New England in 2005. As a writer, he has studied under Pulitzer Prize-nominees Adam Rapp & Maria Irene Fornes, as well as Hilary Bell of the Atlantic Theater Company. He holds a BA with Honors in Theater from Wesleyan University. He was inspired to write Freezing Rain By Midnight while working as an installer for a hardwood floor company in Massachusetts. An accomplished musician, he has performed throughout New York City and New England with alt-rock band New York City Smoke, and with his folk rock band Faux Star.
